so when they say “not me. i’m not racist” or “not all white people!” we’re supposed to just believe them huh? even though we don’t know their true inner thoughts, what they say behind closed doors and etc, we’re supposed to just take their word for it huh? ignoring hundred of years of overt, brutal white racist history, current everyday racism, shit like #alllivesmatter, shit like calling those who expose racism racists and more, we’re supposed to just believe them huh?

again, the percentage of white people who are actually NOT racist is less than 1%. less. far less. maybe one day white people will actually be as good as they’ve convinced themselves and most of the world they are, but they’re not today. black people need to stop pretending this isn’t true. most importantly, white people (specifically millennials) need to get to work on themselves. black struggle for liberation isn’t just against shit their parents did, it’s against them.

Dont want to seem all pissy and against you but did you even read the graph? Its the percentage of white adults and their views on the said idea. I know its pretty darn sad that the percentage is still that high but its still only about 31% of the general white population. Theres still 69% that arent racist, not 1% or less. You cant deny we are getting better (31% versus the 35% in the baby boomers gen). Plus thats only of the people they polled, not including my generation since im still a teen and not the “white adult” they wanted or the people who dont use internet, werent in the area of the people taking the poll in person, or didnt want to participate. Polls are random and are logically useless unless every person provides correct information like on the census. I dont disagree with the fact that there are sick people out there who are racist beyond belief, but they arent all whites either although they are the most prominent.

Clearly you just don’t know how to read period. The statement was “millennials believe they are not as racist as their parents,” that they are radically different and better than their parents when it comes to race and raciem. however research shows the they are just AS racist as their parents.

Also we do NOT know the everyday behavior of the other 60+% but do you really think America would be where it is when it comes to race if 60+% of white people in the country were true NON racists? Are you serious? you think white supremacy would be where and how it is if 60% were true 100% NON racist? fuckouttahere.

And this is only the people who polled so the number might indeed be worse on both sides and given what I’ve seen, read and experienced, I believe they absolutely are. From the #AllLivesMatter bullshit, to the poll that shows that only 25% of white see the Confederate flag as a racist symbol (that means 75% of whites see NOTHING WRONG with the confederate flag at all), to white people in liberal ass nyc and sf in favor of tougher laws if they believe more blacks will go to jail, to hidden cameras catching white people do straight racist disgusting shit (white people who i’m sure would NEVER consider themselves racist), to the polls that show white people high approval of American policing in spite of the violent and deadly manner in which they deal with Black people, to just everyday interactions, we know the the white racist population is far higher than just 30%.

however i’m sure you need to believe it’s the opposite. that illusion of white greatness and innocence.
